Bivisyani Questibrilia

Likes: art, design, books, indie musicians +  movies, Japanese cultures (+ anime/manga), video games, festive events,
Dislikes: pink, cockroach, mainstream everything, walking clichés, most of girly stuff

Just call her Bivi. A born-and-raised Jakartan. An aspiring illustrator-to-be. If she has free time, she uses it to explore the city, travel to new places or create something in her sketchbook. Her dream is to be a happy-go-lucky mother and work-at-home illustrator. Also, to travel the world, if at all possible. Her current life motto: "Life starts at the end of your comfort zone." She so believes in this because it proved to be true when she moved halfway around the world to reach bigger dreams. She's currently in a relationship with a boy named Firu.

Alive as Always is where she documents her latest adventures, favourite reads, inspired works, provocative thoughts and sartorial influences. This blog is a mix of too many different passions in one cauldron. It started in January 2012 as a personal style blog. Now, it is where she shares her ideas as well as her experiences. Please take a look around and hope you enjoy it!

Frequently Asked Questions

What camera do you use?
Usually, I use a Canon Rebel T3i or Canon EOS 600D with a 18-135mm lens.

Do you take photos on your own?
Mostly, yes. And, mostly, without a tripod. Unless stated otherwise.

Why did you start blogging?
It started out with discovering Bonnie Barton, who indirectly introduced me to fashion blogging. It was completely new to me! I became intrigued by fashion and learnt to dress better. Then I discovered more blogs and turned this space into something more suited for my personality.

Do you have Chinese heritage?
None that I'm aware of.

Why did you come back from Germany?
To be honest, there are many causes for this. Too many to list. You can read all about it here though.
